arb bumper w/body lift?

Ive been think about getting a 2 inch body lift for a while now and im wondering if anyone is has a body lift with a arb bumper. Im trying to figure out how to raise the bumper up after the lift that is goin to be stong enough to withstand winching. Any ideas i do have a welder btw. Thanks!!!

With the way the bumper attaches to the frame it may be easier to build/buy a new custom bumper that will match the new body height. I don't think it is possible to build new brackets to shift the bumper up since it attaches to the side and bottom of the frame rails and literally wraps around front frame cross member. You would need to cut up the bumper to get it to fit. That I am told pretty much loose all structural integrity of the bumper since it is merely light steel plate construction.

It is possible. You will have to cut it and weld it back together 3" higher.

some vendor on here, perhaps wabbit (not positive, could be rb or marlin or someone else) modifies brackets for you for a small fee if you order the bumper from him. for a larger fee maybe he'll modify the brackets for you since you didnt buy from him

Do you have an ARB bumper already?

If not, TJM is fairly similiar... and this guy has some brackets ready to go for a 2" BL.

Who knows... maybe they would even work on a ARB or at least give you some ideas on what needs to be done.

If you dont like the look of the buper with the lift you either modify the bumper or like others get something to hide the gap, weatherstripping, hard plastic material, etc.

Dont do the body lift, thay do no good other then let you run bigger tires, and you dont need bigger tires unless its for show. Just spend the money on a lift and if your real hardcore off road and you need bigger tires then your gonna have to spend alot of money on your IFS or do an SAS, whtever you do its gonna be alot more money then you would want to spend on making a bumper look good (at least compared to the rest of the truck). Plus its ugly, thats my opinion and it has nothing to do with your decision, but i had to say it... Sorry.

Please. Body lifts are probibly the best way to get clearance for bigger tires.
An ifs bracket lift is a glorified body lift, only weaker. As for the no need for bigger tires comment.... ever hear of diff/ground clearance? The only way to acomplish that is to run a taller tire.
