i found a link from reading this bb, but dont have much references on other types.

the removable steering wheel i think i want is the nr-g type.
anyone have pix or advice on this?

i already have a grant wheel, but does grant make a locking cap like nr-g's
also,
i didn/t find the kit on summitracing, but i did find one elsewhere, however, no image was given, nor did i find it would fit toyota.

the nr-g has the application i need (for both cars) but i wanted to know if there is a bunch of you all who actually have these/
mainly for theft prevention.

HERE is a link to NR-G site that has literally everything.
but what i do know is for a toyota, we need the short hub, AND any of the quick release kits .

and for the locking cap, all together about 300bucks w/out the wheel.

their website only lists 6hole types for momo-sparco wheels, but they also make 5hole for grant wheels (which my 2nd truck came w/a grant, and i like it alot)

i also goodled quick release steering wheel, and found 1 momo type, and a bunch of boating applications.

with the name issetta or something else ive never heard of.


ALSO, found that Works Bell Splash Rapfix II seems to have the ORIGINAL design in its crypts. so the nr-g is a knock-off ?

oiy- finding reviews in english is time conuming.

I have a Grant wheel with their locking/removable adapter. Works great, simple to install. Just get the wheel you want, the Toyota adapter kit and the locking hub kit. Since I run a soft top year-round, I like the added security of having the steering wheel inside the house.

$300? spendy. might be using The Club instead. 4crawler, where did you get all your stuff and how much? if you don't mind.

wheeling? um....i don't really have the time for it. its not something i do as a primary hobie but rather a side effect of my other hobbies. surfing- getting to breaks, dunes. snowboarding- getting to mountains. rock climbing and camping.... i've done some logging roads in E. WA to shoot guns and was thinking about going to Reeders pit (everyones been telling me about it). but again, no time...got others things i'd rather be doing plus i really don't like breaking stuff on my truck or washing to mud off

its either $300 dollars or they just drive off with ur whole truck then ur out alot more kinda hard to drive if theres no steering wheel

yeah.
i would like this kit on all my cars.
1 wheel (maybe a backup) and w/everything else i have, a theif will be hard pressed not to get caught.

i just hate the ones who attempt and ruin stuff on the way to jail. so, a big empty hole (or shiny lock) on my steering column would be a good start.

plus, i cannot find a locking GRANT version.
plus, these units (once bought) can stay w/me forever, looks easier than a stereo. but i dont know about the installation either.

any installation (or anyone have one) advice.

I've had no problems with the NRG and as far as I know they are not a company from Japan using a different name in the US. Installation isn't that difficult, your best bet is to call NRG and talk to someone directly.
