Anyone run 4.00:1 tcase gears?

I have been wanting to gear my tcase lower for mild wheeling, I find there is times where 2.28 isn't low enough without gasing it and I would like to go slower. Is there options such as 4.00:1 or others besides 4.7? I live in Montana so there is a lot of snow trips and I have heard 4.7 is no good in reverse. Thanks

nope the RF1-A tcases only have the option of stock 2.28 or the deeper 4.7 ratios. 4.7 is very close to double the 2.28, so most people with a single case find issue with it being too much gearing in everything besides rocks. the only other option you have is to go to double cases. its what i have in my 89 with stock 2.28 in both cases, i havent found a scenario where i didnt have the correct ratio.

Several outfits offered them for a while, back in the day.

They were apparently very limited production though.

I think Cruiser Outfitters and Northwest Offroad were two of the suppliers then.

I'd sure like to get ahold of a set of 4.0s' myself.

4.7s' are too much, and I don't wanna go doubles.

If you find a source for them, I'd sure like to know about it!
