Anyone know what this is?

It's the highlighted ground-looking majigger... it comes out of the engine wiring harness, along with the injector plugs and other intake plugs and such. any information is appreciated as to where it plugs into, i already checked the FSM and couldn't find it. thanks in advanced!

That is one of the ground straps. It bolts to one of the middle bolts that connects the upper and lower intake plenums.

many thanks, that's the only thing that I was confused about other than the rats nest of hoses. the FSM doesn't make that any easier either, but i guess when it's running ˟˟˟˟ty i'll figure it out

I just finished pulling, rebuilding, and reinstalling my motor. I know after 200k miles my vacuum lines pretty much fall in to place on their own. Also the vacuum lines should be mapped out on the hood placard.

that they did, for the most part, but I have a feeling that my truck wasn't originally an EFI truck, since my hood placard has the 22-r carb layout, and it's an 87 with a diagnostic box, instead of the plugs on the drivers inner fender for setting timing.
