Another lesson I need to learn.. getting hose clamps off
What tool do I need to get in order to remove hose clamps. My last attempt to get the clamp off my radiator hose off left my knuckle with a big OUCH!

Is there a pliers just for hose clamps?

yea, there called needle nose, real easy

you mean just regular needle nose pliers...the everyday needle nose? Is it specially made for hose clamps?

Im a toyota tech, i have all kinds of silly pliers, yet i always use my regular needle nose for hose clamps.

I use bent needle nose or vise grips.....or whatever is closer.

Needle nose vise grips. I got a couple pairs, and leave them on the clamp until the new hose is back on.

A couple of techs at work use these:

They are from Matco tools, but they cost $70! I just use needle nose or a good pair of regular pliers.

they work great tho for hard to reach upside down hose clamps! i need to get myself a pair

Just pinch them really hard with your fingers. Of course this requires old man strength.
