Another "How much is it worth?" Question - PICS
Okay - I have a '93 4Runner 2WD. I'm getting bit by either the 4WD bug or the go fast bug - diagnosis is still out. A 2WD T4R doesn't do either. I don't really want to sell as I know the issues - who knows what I'll buy into. For my daily driving - it works perfect. It is the hobby driving that is getting pushed aside.
I found a '99 4Runner - no leather, no sunroof - both things I'd like to have. At least its black. Price is fair - I don't think she's the one though. I'm wondering what I should ask for mine. I don't want to get raped - but I don't want to hold out for the right buyer.
111,000 miles
Power windows
Power locks
Cloth interior
Rear heat
AC ? needs work (possible leak) but does blow cold when charged
31x10.5 BFG All Terrain tires - 50% tread left
15x8 Black Cragar Soft 8 wheels
Remote start w/keyless entry installed January ?06
New radiator ~4K miles ago
New Dynomax exhaust ~5K miles
New Rancho shocks ~500 miles
New Eibach springs in back (1.5? lift) ~500 miles
Factory CD/Cassette - currently has aftermarket stereo
New Polk Audio speakers
Bushwacker Flares
New Power Steering pump
Fresh tune up
New U-joints
New pads and calipers
History
~85K miles were in Texas
I bought it with 103K to drive to the train
All windows/doors/body panels have correct VIN
Paint it in good shape ? not perfect
All door seams are rust free with the exception of the drivers side rear
Small section of rust on the passenger side rear wheel arch - fixed before flares were added. Sanded, primed and painted non-matching black. Flares hide it.
Interior is super clean - no rips/cracks
Any thoughts on a fair price? I can get pics later if it matters.

to be honest a list a mile long of "new this or that" means little.....
2wd is going to hurt ya....
93 111K mile 4wd version thats clean, inside and out, no major dents etc, cold AC, Cruise works, rear defroster and rear window works fine....
round these parts that would fetch ~4000 you might sqeek nother couple hundred out of it with roof rack, rear air deflector, and a decent head unit.
2wd version is another grand less?
overall market in my area for 4wd goes from about $2500 good running but rough, to a "cherry" 95 with 100K for $5500
non-running is usually $600-$1500 depending on problems and condition of the rest of it.

Yeah - I certainly wasn't expecting my list of fixes to add to the value. They were some of those things that needed to be done - just keeping someone else from doin them. I figure there has to be someone who just wants to drive and not get dirty (my area is fully of lifted Jeeps that haven't seen grass).
That isn't far off from what I was thinking - in my head I was asking $3750. I have roof rack and rear deflector also.

Boy, the 2wd is a mjor negative for most, but i would actually be interested in a V6 runner 2wd, but thats me. I disagree that those repairs dont help with the cost. I def. consider the price of those into the cost of the vehicle. if i had to do all that i would offer a thousand less or so. if you got the reciepts to prove it, it will help you out. i have a friend though that is actually in the market, but that may be just a hair out of his range. id say 3200 give or take and he would buy it.
In PA, 2wd, unless you are in the city, makes a vehicle worth a lot less. However, in my woods, you could probably fetch more than 3250 for it, providing its as nice as you say it is, with those miles. I paid 3500 for my truck though, and its a pickup with 4wd, but not all the features. you figure what its worth to you. id say, ask 3650, negotiable. see if you get any nibbles. i will tell my friend about it though, maybe he would be interested. Pics are a must though!
