Another engine oil issue

I posted a while back about leaking oil blah blah blah... I'm still leaking but it's not engine oil which is another story that I already have sorted out. But now I have narrowed my engine oil down to my engine itself using the oil.

A little history lesson:
I rebuilt the engine (22re, 87 4runner) about 10k miles ago. I removed and plugged ALL vacuum lines. The only thing that's getting any vacuum is the brake booster. I mention this because I believe that my oil issue is coming from the front PCV breather hose on the front of the valve cover. I think my oil is coming into that hose and in the engine from the intake plenum. One possible cause of this is a bad PCV valve, but I replaced the PCV valve when I rebuilt my engine not too long ago.

So here's my question... I know that under certain engine loads the valve is open or closed, but, based on what force? Does it work off of vacuum pressure from the intake manifold or built up pressure in the engine itself? I ask because I wonder if that due to the fact that I removed all of my vacuum lines, is my PCV open and or closed when it's not supposed to be? If the valve isn't working when it should then it will allow oil to get into the PCV breather hose on the front of the valve cover right?

So, if the PCV valve is built based on the engine and its associated vacuum pressure, what would be a good replacement pcv valve for a 22re with all vacuum lines deleted?
