another EGR question.

OK hate to bring up old bones but...

My egr broke and I did the block-off but am confused on what resistor to use. I did a search and some guys say 10k ohm 1/4 watt and some guys say 16,000 ohm and so on... so, which one is it that I need to use for optimal performance of my 3.0?
Thanks

All I can tell you is I used the 10k and it works fine.

Why would others be saying 16k? Was it a typo? For a different engine other than the 3.0?
