Permacool, available in either a sandwhich style or a remote filter mount, takes less than an hour to install. The cooler is mounted through your stock radiator fins with 4 giant zip-tie like devices. Summit Racing is a good place to get em from.

So if I used a filter relocation kit could I just tap into the line with a junkyard oil cooler?

I dont see why not, id use compression fittings for everything if you can, thereby avoiding any hose popping off of a barb...
