aftermarket cam??

ive tried searching but its just comes up with people having questions about aftermarket cams, i wanna know if there a definitive way to tell if you have an aftermarket cam??? i know you can tell by looking at a stock one and referencing it but i dont have a stock one to look at...any ideas? as this may be the reason for the truck idleing funny..

do you have a powerband such as in the 3000-4000 range, or is it in the lower RPMs?

Get out a set of calipers, and measure the lobe size, then get someone to measure their stocker, and compare.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm pressy sure I have a stock cam from an 83 EFI in my attic. I could take some measurements for you.

No, I mean 83. EFI didn't come out until 85 (actually late 84 IIRC) in TRUCKS, but EFI was in Celicas as early as 82. It was an earlier version though, I have the stock cam from my old 83 Celica in a box somewhere.
