Who makes an aftermarket TPS? I would just go get a new one at Toyota, matching part numbers. Sure they are a little more spendy, but boy howdy its nice to get it right the first time

but if the connector is not the same, it's not the TPS for your truck, aftermarket or otherwise.

If you have the original TPS, the part number should be stamped on it. Use that to cross-reference. If after that you don't get the right one, change parts stores.

Sounds like something has been changed in your truck.

There are 2 different styles. Pre 89 and post 89 with some mixing in 89 (this is for 22re) V6 might have made the same changes. Since your truck is a 90 you are close to the changeover.

yup thats what happened. and no one in town has one. gotta order it from PB and wait a few days. its BWD EC3147. what a pain. not only are there different connection types but as i said the last one i got had the movine part oriented so that the only way to adjust it would have been to mount it with the connection facing up which wouldnt work on my throttle body. now I gotta wait till wednesday to get it. at least itll be warmer.
