AFM adjustment
I've recently been playing with my AFM adjustment and am curious to see if anyone with upgrades to their 22re have been able to smooth out the idle.
I currently have a Filtercharger kit, bored .40 over with forged pistons, upgraded cam, and downey header with 2 1/2 inch piping to cat, muffler, and all the way out.
In the stock setting it seems to run pretty well but idles like you would expect with a bigger cam.
Has anyone been able to richen the mixture and help it idle better?
I recently adjusted my TPS but it still runs a little rough especially when I jump the two terminals in order to time it.
I've noticed with the stock setting on the AFM and the idle set at about 1k it idles alright but it still bugs me that it's not completely smooth.
I currently have the AFM setting about 5 teeth richer and the idle is worse.
I'm going to continue to play around with it but like I said I am wondering if anyone has had improvements by adjusting it a little richer. All thoughts and ideas are always welcome!

From what ive read here, about the most you can go on the AFM adjustment is about 3 teeth richer, after that it will run worse as you have stated. You might consider swapping the stock AFM for a larger one, do a search and you will find the information needed to do it and what your car to get the larger AFM from. With all the engine work you have done the larger AFM might help you out, so it might be worth looking into.
