ac wiring question
I have a 89 4x4 22re 5spd that has a good working a/c unit,I am thinking about transfering it to my 89 2wd 22r 5spd .The mechanical part should be straight forward ,the part that is concerning me is the wiring . The 2wd is a base model which did not have the plug for the clock, so there is a good chance the wiring may not be there for the a/c. So far my internet searches have not answered my questions.
Will the a/c amplifier work with the 22r setup, also what type of idle up solenoid does the 22r use ? Will the wire to the ignitor work the same with the 22r ? It is hard to find 89 body style in my area for parts ,so it might come down to making the harness or pulling it out of the 4x4.

I hate to say this the wiring is the easy part
Your going to need to find or cobble together a idle up solenoid for the carb unlike the FI engine you can`t just give it more air.
Been so long I don`t know if I ever saw one.
I think the hardest part is putting in the EVAP Coil are you going with a new coil ??
You need the whole box from the truck with ac.

If I go with the swap the plan was to swap the complete unit. The a/c works good except for the broken idle up solenoid.
so far my searches haven't showed a carb solenoid ,and I checked a carb that came from a 87 with air and it is similar to my carb. It could have been replaced at sometime it is hard to say. Years ago I owned a 70 chevy pu with a 250 6cyl that had an after market a/c unit without a idle up solenoid, and it was a problem at times.
