A340H Kickdown cable adjustment
So mine had a stupid amount of slack when it was shifting stupid, and so I tightened it up as much as it'd allow, but theres still a lil slack, been shifting 90% better though, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist and like things running as good as it can.. I've been trying everything I can to make alterations and spacers and nothing is working, always the same slack, if I could like, extent the threads by an inch, I'd be set... if not, I guess I'll find a new cable, but I really dont want to open up the tranny

What is your shifting problem? The throttle cable is NOT a kickdown cable (that's from back in the 60s). The A340H get's it's shift points from the ECU (relying on the TPS, VAF, and VSS2). The throttle cable just determines how "hard" the transmission shifts. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Media/Supra/...taTech/h17.pdf

Well for the past hour I've been playing with all tensions on this thing, and it is EXACTLY like an XLCH clutch, for me anyways, being automatic i figure it's KIND OF like a clutch cable.. when its too tight, itll drag and feel like youy have clutch partly in when accelerating, when too slack it won't know what to do, 1/16 free play, mother˟˟˟˟ers gravy. Sorry for the thread, i'm new to autos
