Interesting, up until today i had been having a slight delay into shifting from 3rd to 4th, just one time per day. Changed oils to synthetic, no good, back to cheap conventional and its working ok. If it persists though, in subscribed here now and will test the electrics.

to be honest, truck had a little confusion onto which gear it should be in while going ~50…

my cruise control works most of the time, even with the old ecu it would sometimes just not work. all new vac lines and all the buttons respond to the flashing test. volt meter ready for more tests!

edit: going to test as much of the CC system as i can and see if anything is wrong with that...

closer and closer...so when my cruise control works my transmission does not. when the transmission works the cruise control doesn't. truck ran fine today, ran the simple button tests for the CC. i did not get a display for the vehicle speed sensor, this transmission has two of them, will check weather permitting tomorrow.

What do you mean when cruise control works? You mean when you turn it on and set it to a speed?

I suggest get rid of the cruise control IF it ends up being your problem. In my opinion, on these engines, the cruise control is a terrible way to drive the car.

yes thats what i mean, it sets speed. sometimes it doesn't do a damn thing I'm just pressing buttons and getting slower haha. its back and forth between transmission and CC. the CC test ends up saying that the number 1 speed sensor is not working. when i get a chance I'm going to pull it and test it.

i know i know cruise control on a truck is silly, have a problem though, if my car has buttons and lights that don't work, i need to fix them! i live on a 200mile long flat island, once the tranny locks and I'm doing 80 i just throw it on and I'm done for the whole ride haha
