What is the payload on a V6 2nd Gen?

I had about 2,000# in it twice. It was all wood, filled to the ceiling. Short trip though.

Also, me and my friends are going to start collecting scrap metal again, so in order to have the inside not be damaged, I was interested in building a cage of some sort, out of wood for the inside. Removable of course. Any ideas?

TIA.

I wouldn't recommend going that much over max patload, regardless of trip distance.
I recommend you get/build a cheap trailer.

Well I wouldn't if I knew what it was. The wood trip was a one time thing, and for the scrap metal we would rent a trailer for the trip to the scrapping place.
