95 4runner no brake pressure.

So here's the deal I just did my leaf spring converison/SAS on my 95 runner. My father and bled the brakes and all was good. I then went to weld in my rear shock hoop, and I thought I could cut a corner and not pull the brake lines away and weld by them and everything would be ok. Well I was wrong popped a hole in the brake line so yes I did a temp patch with a compression fitting just to get the thing rollin. Well now we can't get pressure built back into the system. We have pressure directly after the MC and the MC is bled, there absolutely no air in the system. Wheel cylinders are good and new calipers. It does have ABS, but my attention is on the LSPV something must have changed a after I replaced the line, but we can't figure it out, I tried everything that was mentioned in similar threads but no luck. I read somewhere that the front bleeders should be on top, mine are on bottom but I dont see how that would make a difference. Please I'm very frustrated and desperate. If your instantly going to say something about the Compression fitting then save it because I plan to run a whole new line but for now im just trying to drive it again. Thanks for any help.

Well, I just checked my calipers on my '90, and the bleeders are on top. I'm not sure why that makes a difference, either, but maybe try switching the calipers? Were they swapped sides when the sas was done? Never mind, I see you said new calipers.

A couple years ago a buddy of mine did a long travel setup and had a hell of a time bleeding the brakes after. He had the calipers swapped. Switched them so bleeders were up, worked perfect, he went and jumped it.

Bleeders have to be on top to get the air out. Otherwise, the air will stay trapped on the top of the caliper.

I'll second that, the bleed screws NEED to be on top, keeps them out of harms way too so they don't get knocked off.
