'95 4runner IFS question
I have manual hubs on my '95 4runner. Starting in the fall, I got this crazy squeak from the front end. I'm assuming its the spindles needing to be greased, considering when I did some CV work on the passenger's side, there was actually some rust spots in the spindle tube.
Question: Should I be getting the squeak if my hubs ARE NOT locked in? Or is the squeak maybe the wheel bearings? Its definitely somewhere in the knuckle because its constant with the speed of the wheels, meaning, if I slow down, the squeak slows down. Its not on the engine, but it sounds like a belt squeak almost.

check for rocks between the calipers and dust "shield". Also could be the pad wear indicators starting to squeel and you are in the need to replace them. But wheel bearings and dry spindle bushings could be a cause as well.
