95 3.0 jumpy ignition timing
Backround, full out of truck overhaul around 14 k ago.ran good from what another runner owner told me. Auto trans is working fine. Put cams in didn change much, more top endpower.
Last yr mpg started falling off from 13 to 9 and smog shop said truck surged on their load cell. Timing moves about 3 degrees above or below target even jumpered.just lived with it after a basic look. Now its getting more noticable driving,so i checked the igniter, coil, and distributer. All were middle of spec. My gut says distributer buti cant justify throwing parts at it. Anything im missing?
Thanks for your time

Have you checked the tps? My guess would be either the tps or the signal generator in the distributor, but I am sure that more knowledgeable gurus will chime in soon and give you a better answer haha
