94 pickup 22re hard starting

I have a 94 pickup with a 22re. In the morning it starts fine, but after I shut it off, and start it right away, it'll start fine. But if I shut it off and wait 5-10 minutes it, like the time to fill the tank at the gas station, I cranks about 40 times before it'll fire. Wait 4-5 hours and it'll start fine. Any ideas? Possible bad injector bleeding down?

how long have these symptoms accrued? I don't know anything about the 22re models , but have a good common knowledge of engines.

It's been going on for about 2-3 weeks now.

My only experience with this type of symptom resulted in a faulty ignition coil. This a classic case of "let it develop". Next time you get it to do the crank no start you should diagnose it. Pull a plug wire and see if it's getting spark.

When I had this issue on a completely different engine the coil would only fail when it was hot. And the best way to explain its cranking for a while before it would fire again is .......the coil would have to "stress" the spark plug gap in order for it to get back into working order. It will eventually just stop firing.

Like I said. This only past experience with a different engine. I hope this helps a little.
