94 4runner driver side power window regulator replacement

how easy is this?all the manuals ive read have like one short paragraph on the procedure but no good pix.mine wont go up or down but the motor does spin(i had to help it up by hand and thats where it stays)the manual also says to completely remove the glass.is this necesary?
