94 4runner 3.0 auto Locker? or no Locker?
got a 94 toyota 4runner with a 3.0 automatic. running 33inch thornbirds on a 4inch suspension lift. looking into getting lockers. any ideas would be greatly appreciated, i know theres alot of different brands out there! Any one installed or have lockers installed on their yota that could give advice would help alot.

There's an FAQ in the Offroad Tech section. IMHO, the critical questions are:
- road driven or trail only?
- do you have to drive on snowy/icy roads?
- do others (wife, partner, whatever) drive your truck?
From what I hear about the Thorturds, you could make a significant improvement in traction by going to just about ANYTHING else.

re:
I do drive it daily on pavement. I now drive it on snow and ice but hopefully next year i will have it off the road and stored due to salt. I live in NY so i usually take it off the road when first sign of salt but my winter beating is now un driveable. so i would like to keep it a road worthy in the wintery season. My truck is my baby, nobody except anybody who has a lifted vehicle themselves sits in the driver seat. i see your impression of thornbirds are not very great, your not the first to express that ha ha ive had pretty good luck with them in the mud and the wear from the pavement driving dont seem to be to bad. but what do you recommend for my next purchase of tires? thanks for the input

I dont have experience with ice/snow with lockers, but I will recomend them in any other condition. I recently locked front and rear and the difference is night and day! I did lock rights F/R but I would only do an auto up front if you have manual hubs.
Ill agree the new BFGs are pretty sweet, been looking at getting a set myself. Thornchickens are awesome looking, but performance from them is pitiful
