94 pick up 22re 172000 miles.
This problem came on kinda quick it just started to have realy poor accceleration. put in some injector cleaner and I felt like it helped but not enough. then after the second bottle I thought it was doing better but realized the weather got colder and it ran ok until the moter got hot. When the motor is cold t (nearly) always drives just fine. After it gets hot it acts up.

Could have a cracked plugged but that dont sound right does it. Anyway they have about 70,000 onthem I think and the wires less. If I remember right, I looked it up a while back.

Thought about possibilities and checked the o2 sensor and got low readings so replaced it. been 3 days with a little driving and still has issues but seem to be a lot better. It is worse taking off from a stop but is rough or bogged down like just at first then after gaining a few mph it just hits and accelerates fine until shift.

What does it take for the ecm to learn it has a new O2??

What else could be the problem? Thinking the MAF. Not sure where it is. thought it was that thing plugged into that squar eshiney thng on the air cleaner houseing. Need better look with better light but it did not look like it wanted to come out.

MAF rarely fail unless you jack with them. You made need to reset the codes to drop the check engine light. Unhook the battery for a few minutes. The boggy feeling can be a lot of things. TPS getting weak and acting up when warm. Testing it cold and warm is the only way to be for sure. When electronic parts go out it is usually when they warm up that they act up. Not always. Check vacuum hoses, Idle air control valve needs cleaned/replaced, TPS.

Thanks for the ideas. There is no codes comeing out or a check engine light. Which seems odd to me.
I had concerns about the tps just didnt think it was a warm cold thing. So i will check that next.
Funny there is no consistancy to this. Even warm sometimes it just drives off through 3 gears.
