I have a new 22re that is pinging even on a flat road! I took it the the local toyota dealer becuase I had a check engine light on! They told me that that the EGR wasent working right. So they tested the EGR and it was good. They also did some other test and found out that I had a problem with the flow into the egr. So I pulled the EGR pipe off of the header and it was good and clean. So I took the Header off to find that the gasket was bloking flow to the EGR pipe. So I cut the gasket and put everything back together! Took it for a little test drive and it was pinging a little still. So I drove it around for a while to make sure the engine was nice and hot and it just seemed to get worse. Any Ideas what it might be? Take to mind that this is a new engine. Everthing new and everything clean. So if there is anyone out there that has any ideas please let me know! Thanks

Have the timing adjusted, and stop using cheap gas.

Timing is adjusted to 5 degrees like it should be! Can I retard it alittle with out hurting the engine? And yes I should run better gas! Thanks man
