93' Truck - Dash Gauges, Not Working
This is my first post, please bear with me, I will try to make this as clear as possible.
I have been working on a rather difficult truck for some time now, reading from these forums often. A few months ago I removed the throttle body to inspect and clean it out. When I put everything back together the truck would not start, all I got was a few clicks and then nothing.
(This problem is not resolved. I think it is the starter but am unsure.)
I found a work-around by jumping straight from the battery into the starter relay terminal. That was working great, until two days ago. I have the truck parked on a hill and I can start it by letting it roll and dropping the clutch. Only now the windshield wipers, radio, and none of the gauges are working. I replaced the 'Gauge Fuse' in the driver kick panel but that did not help.
Any ideas? Could it be wiring? Would jumping into the relay cause a short, or wreck the electronics?

No it is'nt. But that may be for the same reason none of the other gauges are working...? The battery is still alive, at least enough to run the headlights and dome light...

Double check all of the fuses, my 4Runner was running good and then nothing. I checked all of the fuses and they were good, and everything else i checked was good, so i went back to the fuses again. it turned out that a few of my fuses had a very thin layer of corrosion on them (you couldn`t tell by looking at them), i used a pocket knife to scrap the fuse and terminals clean and my 4Runner started up.

All the fuses involves the engine relay and the kickpanel I take it. How do you check the fuses? By pulling them and replacing or cleaning like myyota suggested.
I like the idea of not buying any new ones so I will try to scrape them down today.
-Thanks
