93 4Runner, hesitates, white smoke when cold
Just started noticing is issue and it may be nothing. It has a rebuilt engine with about 2000 miles on the rebuild. 3VZE btw. I have my back up MAF on right now leaned out about 4 clicks. Lately when I start it up from dead cold it puffs out white smoke. If you mash on the gas there is a noticeable hesitation. Once it gets all warm there are no problems. Accelerates fine. No hesitation. No smoke. The white smoke might just be normal condensation, but coupled with the hesitation I hope it is not a hg issue already.
What do you guys think.

Yes it has a cold start injector.
I think I fixed the hesitation issue. Popped the cap of the MAF and put it back to the factory setting. No more hesitation. Still puts out white smoke when cold. If you hold the throttle down and race the engine the exhaust is clear. It's when it decelerates back to idle that white smoke poofs out. Once it's all warm it stays clear.
Checked my oil. It is not cloudy. But it is unusually high. I guess I over filled it. Will drain some out.

I think I am just being paranoid. Drained out the extra oil. Dirty, but not contaminated. Topped off my radiator. Asked a co-worker about the exhaust vapor and they felt it was normal because it's cold outside. I'll just keep an eye on things.

How high is it? You dont have coolent in your oil? White smoke is steam ,blue is oil.
If the steam is just on starting, on a cold morning thats normal, but if its puffing steam after its warmed up then you have blown heas gasket. You had to top off your radiator?
