92 toyota pick up 2.4 5spd 4x4 problem??

hey guys, I am new to the group and also now a proud owner of a 92 Toyota pick up. I just bought the truck yesterday and I noticed today when driving while stopped at a red light, my truck seems to rev a little and goes down, repeats this action when I am stopped at a red light on neutral.. clutch shifts just fine. Transmission was replaced almost 10 years ago in 2006. I was wondering what it might be ? I'm going to do a full tune up this weekend maybe it'll clear the problem.. or is it something I should not be worried about ? I been looking at other forums and can't seem to find anything.. thanks in advance !! Any input is valued

Red face

Does the rpm keep going up and down several times or is it once and done??

Does Your truck have AC ?? The compressor cycling on and off could do this as well.

is it just that it takes a little to go down to low idle? it has a little plunger thingy on the throttle body that is designed to do that to keep it from stalling. if it's excessive, it could be plugged.

It does this several times, I been looking at other threads and it looks like I have similar problems to what people are calling the surging idle problem ? I guess this a common problem for the 22re huh?.. and I do have ac it does work. I was reading about it could be the MAF, a possible air leak somewhere

Only once since I've drove it around has it revved high. I wish I could say how many RPMS it revved but the gauge cluster doesn't have a RPM gauge just the gas, speed and temp gauges... How would I be able to clean it ?
