92 with 22re when put in gear truck vibrates bad
92 pickup with 22re and auto trans. is still vibrating bad when put into any gear, at idle its fine no vibrations just when put into gear . also it seems to me like it idles a little high/fast the truck doesn't have a rpm gauge so I have no clue what its running at . I have put new engine and tranny mounts in it and that didn't seem to do anything . Can anybody help me as to what might be going on ? other then that it seems to be good , I did have a problem before with power going up hills but since flamethrower sent me new injectors to try it seem to be better . any help would be great ! thanks

Now that's its cold out and I have had to turn on the heat , I have noticed that the fan also make a vibration type sound its hard to explain but it goes along with the motor. again it doesn't do it when in park only when in a gear .

I guess ill find out this spring . its laid up now for the winter not that I want it to be but guess the front seal for the tranny is gone tranny fluid is pouring out the end of trans. and have no place to do it but outside and to dam cold for that now [plus snow] I am wondering if the seal was bad if that could be it ? or if maybe the torque converter is bad ? I didn't run it out of fluid at least I don't think , it still says its still about half full on dipstick . but ill take any advice on what to look for . I do wonder how do you tell if the torque conv. is bad or not ? thanks

Best tell for a bad converter is if you get a lag when you drop it into gear. If you don't feel the trans engage right away your converter is probably going.
However it's been my experience bad trans parts don't cause vibration till the rig is moving.
I'm gonna venture to say some kind of misfire if all your mounts are New.

if vibration happens when in motion, than you might have bad u-joints. if the vibration happens while in gear and you're not moving, than its most likely the trans.

Check and replace your spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and spark plug wires.
These are really easy things to check and you might find the issue pretty quick.
It really sounds like a misfire.
You wouldnt believe what even a little water in the disty will do.

yup it happens when you put it in gear and just sitting there . I do have to replace the front seal in the tranny as I blew it out last month going up a hill in my field through the snow [it took a few trys!] during deer season . my sons s10 couldn't do it and just had to prove the yota could ! it did but the front seal started pouring out tranny fluid so its sitting till spring but really want to fig this problem out. thanks
