92 22RE EFI / Fuel Pump Problem
PU was running fine, but sat for a couple of months during cold weather at camp site without starting. Has always started within seconds of first crank. Engine turns over, have spark. Have checked fuses and EFI relay. No fuel at filter with engine turning over. Tried jumping F8 +B with ignition on, can not hear pump. Have 12 v at wiring connector near fuel tank where wiring goes to pump. Do I need to replace fuel pump or is there something else I need to do?

Check the Circuit Opening Relay, or COR. Consult the FSM. If it goes bad, it won't ground and no power goes through the pump.

I don't have a 22RE, so hopefully someone can chime in with the location. Pretty sure it's behind the glove box though.

FP to B+ completely bypasses the COR (as you can see in the page gamefreakgc cites). I assume the 12v you found at the pump connector was with the FP B+ jumper in.
It's worth checking for 12v between the pins of the pump connector (instead of just 12v to ground) as either wire can break, but if you have 12v at the connector I would expect something is wrong inside the tank (bad pump, or a broken internal connection).

The reading I had near the tank was by using both terminals (wires) for the 12 v reading. I tried to run some continuity tests on the COR, but I'm not technical enough to really understand what I got.....Since the last post, I have removed the tank to the point of unhooking the sending unit. Got dark and I lost energy. Is there a way to disconnect the wiring from the sending unit without taking all the bolts out and removing it? I noticed a plastic flap on top of the wiring into the tank, but "ran out of gas" (personally lol) and daylight, before getting it disconnected. Once I get the tank removed is there a way to check the pump outside the vehicle before replacing it? Sure appreciate all the help!
