91 tranny swap ?

What would it take to put a v6 5spd in place of a 4cyl 5spd?

INSTALLATION NOTES:
This new adapter has been designed to install a R150 & R151 to the 4 cylinder bellhousing.

This new transmission and adapter is 15mm longer than the stock setup. The rear crossmember mount must have the holes slotted to compensate for the 15mm of extra length. The front and rear driveshafts should be checked for length and modified when necessary.

Or you can use the bellhousing for an R151F to bolt a 4 cylinder to an R150(F).

I should have been more specific,I have a SBC with the advance adapters bellhousing for the 4cyl transmission and was thinking about putting a v6 transmission in it so I don't blow another tranny.

So you want to put an adapter on an adapter?

I was just trying to see what my options are, I thought that maybe the trannys would be interchangable.i'm probably just going to go with a gm tranny and t-case.

No, they are not.

So, what you're really asking is whether or not you should buy the other adapter for your SBC to bolt on an R150/R151. Like you should have done in the first place. Or just go with a GM transmission and transfer case.

I don't know how to answer that. Whichever's cheaper and/or easier I guess.

I bought it with that set up,a 4 cyl tranny wouldn't have been my first choice.
