91 Toyota pickup ignition switch, key will not turn!!??
Ok I have a 91 Toyota pickup dlx and I have been driving it for at least a year and a half now and not long ago it started having problems where the key wouldn't turn but I would play with it for a few seconds and it would turn!!! But now It won't at all, I was as a convenience store to get a drink and a snack and I come back out at try turn the key and it wouldn't I had to play with it for at least 5 or so minutes and it finally turned but, I woke up this morning and it wouldn't turn at all and it still has not showed any signs of it wanting to turn. I've read a few forums saying to lube the key and ignition and I have tried that!!! Any other tips or tricks anyone can give me on how I can get my key to turn???? Much appreciated!!!👊🏼

Might be an urban myth , but I heard tiny metal shavings build up in the ignition cylinder over time , from the key, so maybe get some compressed air in there , blow it out? Other than that, it's pretty easy to get into the ignition , just remove a few plastic bezel pieces and maybe you can see something blocking it ...

On key and lock cylinders Tri-Flow is your friend.
I've never had a dealer make me a new key but I probably should.
I have had a locksmith make me a fresh key before. I believe all they needed was the number off of the key cylinder. Some manufacturers put the key code in different areas though. From a looks standpoint it probably won't be an exact match to the Toyota key but the cut should be identical. If they're the ones who have to physically look On Your Car for the number the cost goes up quite a bit.
Copies will always be ever so slightly off. A copy of an original should only be made off of a key that's hardly ever been used as it just adds to the imperfections.
A copy of a copy.. when I was a kid most locksmiths refused to do that.
