91 toyota manual hub conversion problems! pls help!

So i just bought some aisins off a guys who took em off a 90 4runner.. cleaned em, painted em. went to throw them in and ran into some issues. where u bolt the hub body on there were a 2 little studs that blocked the hub body from going all the way flush. i didnt fully take apart the ADD hub just because i thought i wouldnt beable to bolt the new hubs on.. i just took off a few things until i saw these little studs... did i not go far enough into the ADD hub?? orr did i get the wrong hubs?? i read that they were interchangeable thru 86 - 95 soo i thought no prob. Im suuper confused and have been reading lots about this swap.. everyone seems to find it pretty easy.. hmm.

if i could get some feedback that'd be great. thx.

also.. the gear on the manual hub looked bigger than my axle.. but i didnt go too far into the hub.. it looked bigger as you went in further...

Those are alignment pins....
There are corresponding holes on the hub that the studs go in.
The hubs can only be indexed in two positions..
Just line up the pins with the holes in the hub and it will go on......

Well now you know right. Hey keep this thread going I am going to do the same thing soon and it is nice to see you doing it the exact same way as I expect to. I see them on Ebay all the time and am scared to get them thinking that I will need more parts or they are the wrong ones. So keep it up and good luck getting rid of the auto 4x4
