91 pickup blown engine repair

Okay so my uncle gave me his 91 pickup and i ran it without oil and siezed the engine. i wanna rebuild it instead of replacing it. is there a way to unsieze it or what do i need to replace? its a 6 cylinder and only has somewhere around 200k on it, 5 speed. it has a new clucthc and i put money into it so i wanna try and get it running again.

Is there a guide or can anybody help with this? Thanks.

your best opption is to just buy a long block a good rebuild kit with new bearing and pistons and gaskets+machine work could cost at least depending on your location and parts houses is going to cost at least 1.000 to 1.500.imo

let's break this down-
seized engine- fubar crank main bearings... fubar connecting rod bearings... fubar engine.
cheaper to replace the block/crank/rods than to rebuild

Just replace that block, man. If the engine really seized up and didn't just spin a bearing or something, you're in for a ton of work. Screwed up cylinder walls from the heat, the crank is going to be trash, screwed bearings all around, who knows what else - you don't want to deal with that, trust me.

And for the sake of curiosity, how'd you manage to run it that long without oil?

From the way it sounds, the crank probably won't be able to be turned anyway. If it's seized, then the bearings are probably welded to the crank. I had one spun bearing, and it almost wasn't repairable.

How easy is it to swap from 3.0 to 22re? This is the perfect oppertunity to GO DEISEL. Or a lexus v8. Be patient and make it great!
