91 4 runner sunroof, inny or outy? lol

Does the sunroof go into the body or does it go up on the roof when opening

2nd gen factory sunroof inny, aftermarket outy.

So does the sunroof go straifgt back into the roof or does it go up first to vent then back and in. The reason I'm asking is trying to get the thing open but seriosly rusted and gunked up and can only move it about a inch.

Roof drops down about 1", then slides backwards. The back of the glass drops in first, then the front, but they're almost simultaneous. My DD w/sunroof is at the shop right now, but I can take a short video of it operating tomorrow if you need.
