try retarding your engine a lil bit or move out to colorado where they dont have emissions testing.

Retarding the engine? As in tweaking the distributor?

errr scratch what i said, advance the engine. sorry i'll blame this one on 12 hour shifts lol. and yes, try messin with the distributor a little and if it's idleing too high turn, your idle back down a little on your tbody.

I can smell how rich mine is running, did the VMAF cog thingy mod, gonna take the TB off today and adjust the TPS. Going to replace the injectors too. (changed the plugs a couple weeks ago and found out theirs air getting into the fuel lines somewhere and leaning out the truck too much...but it still smells rich....hhhmmmm.

ToymyYota, Lemme know what you find out!

cold start injector could be stuck open, egr valve or vaqcuum leaks, also on the 3slows u have multiple temp sensors 1for coolant temp 1 for ecm and 1 for cs injector if any of those are bad the engine will run like its constantly cold and will dump way too much fuel into engine. whats the gas mileage like ?

So I put it one tooth ahead on the actuall timing??

And ya brand new O2 censor....
But I haven't messed with the tps...

And I just c.foamed it, I was thinking there could of been build up around pistons... I heard the carbon gets hot and ignites the gas to soon leaving some left over.... ANY comments on that?

What brand is the new O2 sensor? Anything other than Denso or NGK may not work. Bosch definitely WILL not work.

Often a few injectors get partially clogged and so those cyls run lean, which causes the O2 sensor to report extra oxygen in the exhaust. So the computer injects extra fuel. But that makes the cyls with unclogged injectors run way too rich, which can mess up your emissions test results (plus now you have some cyls running too rich and others, with the clogged injectors, are still running too lean).

Try running a bottle of an injector cleaner that has polyether amine through your tank. That's the only effective in-the-tank cleaner - the others do not work well (or at all). Only two products that still have PEA are Red Line SI-1 Complete Fuel System Cleaner (most PEA - almost 50%) and CRC's "Guaranteed to Pass Emissions Test Formula" (less PEA, about 30-35% IIRC). If you use the CRC product you may want to use a bottle & a half or add a bottle to two consecutive tank fulls.

Or for best results send the injectors to witchhunter.

[QUOTE=sb5walker;51736627]What brand is the new O2 sensor? Anything other than Denso)
____yes all new parts are oe... So denso...
And thanks for all the advice, I checked all those threads out. And input that I c.foamed it, and changed the oil out again, only thicker this time and I added this "no smoke" product that thinkens the oil up a little bit.. it seems to be idling must smoother now... -----And I used a tempeture gun, I measured befor the cfoam the oil and the oil additive was done.... I measured about an inch before the cat then an inch after the cat, after it was warm an while idling at 2,500 rpm's....and the difference was like 125 degrees..... Then after the cfoam and oil change I remeasured and it was more like 50 degrees away so... SO IS IT POSSIBLE, that the c.foam cleaned the pistons, and the thick ass oil made it a little more snug so gas couldn't get past and burn in the cat, which TO ME would explain the dramatic drop in temperature..?....
