'90 PU alternator
The 1990 Yota PU I'm working on was missing the alternator. When it was remover they simply cut the wires..
On the back of the alternator I'm missing the 3 prong round plug. I need it with about 5" of wire. Where can I get one, or do one of you guys have one I could buy?
I do have the single heavy gage wire connected and have been driving this way. What is the function of the 3 prong plug that I'm missing?
Thanks

That was a good question, so I googled it and found this:

'IG' is the ignition input that turns on the alternator/regulator assembly.
'S' is used by the regulator to monitor charging voltage at the battery.
'L' is the wire the regulator uses to ground the charge warning lamp.
