90 pickup evap core is the same, 22re or 3vze, then why doesnt my ac hose fit?

Heres my problem. First off, my cab is a 3vze, but my engine 22re. Since the cab i got had ac, i wanted to get it hooked up. I purchased 22re compressor, hoses, and bracket from a 94 p/u.

From my research, the evaporator core for a 90 p/u is the same between the 22re and 3vze. When I go to hook up the suction line, it doesnt bolt up? Any suggestions? I assume that the fitting poking though the fire is the fitting on the core.

Kind of stumped.

So i did some more research, and on ACkits.com they list 3 different cores, 1 Sr5, 1 non Sr5 and a tube and fin one.

My cab is an Sr5, i guess thats the difference, since ac hoses i got was a non Sr5.
