90-94 engine swap to late model v6?

hey fellas and gals, yeah i know that the 3.0 motor isnt the best motor and Ive had three all of which had the head gasket fixed. but now my son is turning 16 and I need either a motor the 3.0 or has anyone swapped in the later V6 and how big a hassle is that gonna be? The truck is a 90 4 runner auto. Everything is just nearly perfect interior is perfect, air works, all lights, good tires, no rust. Bought the truck for 1k as is. Ive even thought about a SBC and a auto maybe even a 5 spd. I would really like some input on this from a professionals point of view. We don't mudbog, race or rock climb. Just reliable transportation that will be good for my son. Also I have a 94 SR5 Truck 3.0 auto kinda wanting to do the same thing but really wanting a 5 spd in it. the truck with the auto is a slug. i do appreciate any feed back.

3.4 v6

I believe the 3.4 would be a major improvement and I know a lot of people have done the swap. Your Auto would be fine with that kind of power

yes Heat Man I do hunt em and they make some mighty fine sausage. But only eat the sows they don't have such a bad stink about them. I have a good friend that has a kinda ranch in south Ga. where he does guided and unguided hunts but he will guarantee you kill a nice one. I don't know what he charges but I do know its a heck of a good time.

Cool man........I have always wanted to bag one of those brutes
I mostly use my rig for hunting so I can get into those hard to reach areas.
