90 4x4 automatic trk 3.0 v6 problems takin off
Just put a new timing belt on the truck and put everything back on. everything is running good except! when you put it in Drive and press the gas, motor revs up but the truck struggles to go. i need some ideas on what theproblem is. cause it run perfect before the timing belt broke.

Struggles to go....meaning what...describe further please? The emergency brake is fully released? Does it have the same behavior in reverse? Are all the vacuum lines in the proper place?

no it goes in reverse fine. the motor revs up like its starting up in 2nd. nothing was wrong before the timing belt. and it shifts into everything else after that fine. and after running a lil while it will sometimes shift down into first when you stop, but then it starts doing it again. like starting off in 2nd.

Two things I would check...
1. Did you happen to touch the throttle valve when you changed the timing belt? If this is not properly adjusted your transmission could slip due to the lack of line pressure. Here is how to check that...

Scroll to page 3 and it will show you the proper adjustment.
2. If your number 1 solenoid is malfunctioning, it will cause the transmission to be in 3rd gear when you put it in "D". You can check this by shifting in "L" and "2". If the truck operates normaly when manually shifting from L-2-D, then you can be assured that you have a bad number 1 solenoid.
Manual shifting with a bad number 1 solenoid will give you the following... "L" gives you 1st and automatically will shift to 2nd, "2" will then shift into 3rd gear. "D" will give you 3rd and O/D.
