90 3.0 rough idle, bouncing idle, rich condition

I've got multiple problems with my 3.0. I redid the headgaskets this past summer. Checked compression after, that checked out fine.

My problem is when I turn the rig on after its pretty well warmed up. It'll idle around 1500 RPM even at full operating temp, then after alot of driving it will come down to around 1100-1200 it will never reach 750-800 range. Gas mileage is horrible, the idle even at 1100-1200 is a lil rough not too bad.

Another problem I have is once in a great while I will get a bouncing idle, it'll be idling at 1500rpm and just drop to 800 and bounce back up, it'll do this for about 10-20 secs then go away.

I have tested most of my sensors they seem to check out ok, I tested the afm, they air temp sensor, the ecu temp sensor, the tps. when measuring my tps when I rotated the shaft the resistance either increase or decrease can't remember, but probably 1mm after opening the throttle the values changed in the oppisite very shortly. I wasn't sure if this was normal or not. I was told that could just be the transition from the Idle circuit to the throttle open circuit. I know my TPS is trying to idle the engine down, if I unplug it the engine idles up to around 1500rpm if I plug it back in it drops back down to around 1100rpm.

Only problem I have is my driver side exhaust manifold gasket leaks, I'm in the processing of trying to get it fixed but everytime I decide to replace it weather goes crappy.

But to me it seems like theres more going wrong then just a simple gasket.

Edit**
Just to add how rich its running, its running rich, you can smell it, and when I jump on the freeway and hammer down it billows a lil bit o smoke. On startup its hesitates a lil bit you try and rev it up. it's not throwing any engine codes at all but something isn't right in there.

My guess would be a vacuum leak which can cause all of the above. At idle, shoot some carb cleaner around various points on the intake manifold/plenum and note any changes in idle speed. Good luck
