89 4runner v6 won't start after water pump change

need help with some trouble shooting or fix or idea. I have a 89 4runner v6 195000 miles on it, first off my water pump broke so I got a new one and put it all back together and cleaned all parts up inside getting it all looking good, I didn’t have bolts missing everything is hooted up, go to fire it up nothing no lights no radio nothing. Charged the battery, go to start it again cranks over but no starting. Look at the ground cable it good, terminals and good, everything is good but the damn thing is still not starting up. It’s not the starter changed it about 6 months ago. Need help anything you give me will help.

Go back over everything, and make sure all connections are on and tight, fuses are intact, etc. If all you changed was the water pump, then you either forgot something or hooked something up wrong.

Is that in the fuse box on the drivers side or under the hood?

It's here, and it's 80 amp, not 15. DO NOT try to pull it out; you'll ruin it. You have to remove the entire box & take out the bolt holding it in place.

Im having similar problem but mine doesn't even turn over.
when I turn the key to AUX everything electrical comes up and works until I turn the key to the START position then just nothing.
Its done it several times in the last few weeks but would eventually start after turning the switch a few times. I put in a new starter today and still nothing, I took the old one to the part store and had then bench test it. It worked just fine. I then put in a new ignition switch and still nothing.
I can not figure out where the heck this system is failing between the new ignition switch and the brand new starter. I have cleaned up all the connections from the battery to the starter. the battery to the fuse box under the hood, when I cleaned this connection I noticed it went to this 80 amp fuse you speak of. the fuse seems to be in tact still from the lil window opening on the top of the fuse. I just am at a loss here...
Does anyone have any ideas...?
Thanks for your time...

Mine does the same thing sometimes but nothing a hammer can’t fix. I tap on the starter a few times and it will fire up. Mine was the timing after changing the water pump
