89 4Runner with really weak front heat, but blazing back heat. Why?
i have an 89 4runner and all my front heat barley even gets warm, but the rear heat gets blazing hot, and i just wondered if there was a way to get the front heat as warm as the rear.
its a 89 4Runner with a v6 3.0l EFI. I'm not sure if theres any other details you need to know. If so just reply with them. Thanks!

how is your air flow out of you vents with the fan on high? if it is not that strong i would bet that the a/c cooler that is in the dash between the fan and heater core is a gacked up. i have seen them so filled with hair/crap that it looks like a swamp cooler pad. no air can pass through so it wont seem that hot.
or i would pull the hoses off of the heater core inlet/outlet and flush it out a bunch with some water and see how much rust flakes come out.
or your heater core is toast.
the a/c cooler is easier to get to compared to the heater core (that is if the a/c is not working)

The a/c doesn't work, it wont get cold however the fan blows great, the air flow is fine in both the front and the back. Maybe the front and rear heat are on different heater cores?

The front and rear ARE different heater cores. The one in the dash is most likely clogged. You have to pull the heater core and use a hose to flush it in reverse. You will have to drain the coolant.

I was told that when i replace my water pump two months ago that the heater core was fulshed and some junk came out. However the heat didnt work any better after he did. On the other hand I don't completely trust him so he may have been bullin me and just saying he flushed it to make it sound like he did more work...
What should I do to try to get it working better?

If you are not car smart, I would find a reputable shop to do it. The work is not overly hard, but time consuming and if you don't know what you are doing, you can get yourself in a lot of trouble.
If you want to do it yourself, take the dash apart and remove the heater core, flush it, and reinstall everything. That's about as layman as it gets.
