89 3.0 is puking coolant
Haven't really looked yet, but it is spewing coolant and steaming from under the hood. Should I assume that my head gaskets are blown? Or could it be just the pump?
Thanks,
Mitch

it's a 3.0 that's perfectly normal.

haha J/K never assume anything, pop that hood open and stick your head in there to see what's going on.

Oh Boy! So I started it and ran it hard around the block several times and it started puking. Looks like the coolant is coming right rear of the head and on top under the plenum on the left side.
so what do you guys think?
should i do the head gaskets or buy a donor LS400?
hmmmm.

check underneath the plenum at the back. i had a small hose there go and it puked collant all over the back on the engine and the exhaust manifolds. lots of steam.
iirc....there are several hoses there that come from barbs on the engine and connect to other lines.
there is a diagram here. http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...05descript.pdf
i had one of those hoses back there go. first just a bit and then a big cloud in the space of about 2 weeks.
