'89 2wd Pickup - Drivers glass replacement
The driver's side window got broken. Nothing stolen. The window is history.
The FSM has minimal detail about replacing the glass. I already pulled the door panel and cleaned out the glass particles. I also unbolted and removed the glass carrier that attaches to the crank assembly.
Any hints or tips on replacing the glass?
Step by step instructions?
Recommendations where to buy a used/new window?
She is an '89 2wd standard cab long bed with a 22RE and and A43 auto. Stripper model. Didn't come with a radio or cigarette lighter.

I've found if you pull the weather strip on both sides of the door (it should just pop off) you can unbolt the window from the regulator and it'll just slide right out the top - you might have to angle it in the hole.
I've had both windows out and that's how I did it - they go in and out pretty easily.
Replacements should be pretty cheap at a junkyard. www.car-part.com for a start! I just got a replacement quarter panel glass at a junker near here for $40. Car-part lists a driver door without vent window and no tint for $35 in PA.

I have some spare glass out of an '87 p/u. See what you can get at a junkyard and if nothing else you know I have them. I don't know where your located/what shipping would be for such a big breakable item.
