What is this and whats suppose to be here? Could this have something to do with idle problems?

Wow! That's your idle speed adjustment screw.....er, bolt. I would say it certainly could have something to do with a weird idle. Obviously somebody's done some adjusting to it before and If they put something like that in there chances are good they didn't know how to adjust the idle correctly.

It's supposed to look like that, circled in red.

X2 wabbit.

seriously though, if they managed to use a bolt that was the same thread as the original screw and didn't strip it out or somehome mess up the threads you should be able to get a replacement at a junkyard for practically nothing...if they would even charge you for it.

although, it IS pretty original

The bad thing is that is not a screw that can be ordered just by itself. The only way you can get a new one is through a junk yard or buy a whole new throttle body from the dealer.

I would try a junkyard first. Also, there is a rubber o ring that goes with it. If you can't find the o ring, napa has a metric o ring box that should have it.

Sadly, that looks like an SAE grade 5 bolt driven in there, so the threads are buggered.

New TB time.
