88 toy 22re truck 4x4 knock sensor
hey guys, had the engine light come on the other day, and its pulling the code for the knock sensor, took it to my mechanic and he said it could either be the plug or the sensor itself, its not a real big priority right now, moneys a little tight, but i am gonna get it replaced soon, but engines not knocking or anything so its not a big worry, just wondering if it could send the wrong signal and maybe hurt the economy or anything else with the engine, by not being fixed right away
thanks in advance guys

It's prolly going back to a default in the map...
I'd check the connection 1st. Then if that didn't get it, 2nd I'd grab me a wrench and head out the house for a pull-a-part with $20 in my wallet...
somehow, I don't think you know this is not as big a deal to fix as you think it is...
do you even know where the knock sensor is?
