88 pickup swap
hey guy/gals,
I recently purchased a 88 toyota pickup witha 22re motor, its been good so far but its not quite enough power for me i was wondering what would be the best engine swap to do, 3.4 v6, or a 7mge? do either of these motors bolt directly to the 22re tranny and would a need to upgrade and other drive line componants? thanks for any help!

Neither of those bolt up directly. Someone is developing a bellhousing for the 7mge or 7mgte...
Other swaps - 2rz, 3rz (both can work with existing driveline with a different bellhousing)
The 4.3 chevy can work with existing driveline also, but it's not recommended.
