88 pick up 4WD manual steering box leak
Hi,
I have a 88 pick up 4WD with manual steering, lift and 33s. During normal operation on road the steering box seems to be fine but yesterday I took it out on some heavy dirt roads, rocks, bumps in the mountains and noticed that the steering box leaked.
questions:
1) what kind of oil do I add to it and how much does it need? I cannot find it on the service manual
2) do I need special tools to replace it? It looks pretty straight forward since it's manual, steering goes in and a joint comes out
3) if I buy a re manufactured will it come with the steering shaft (or part of it)
thanks,
Gabe
