Today felt like Christmas!

My parts for my swap came in finallly.

Now i Just need time to do it.

I decided that i would do a write up.

Basically Since I bought the grey 4runner my first thing to address was the transmission. 22re with 270xxxkm's on it, isnt pushing much power with this turdmatic and I wanted a five speed originally.

So I picked up a parts truck for $700. Blown HG, Full SR5 interior with 95 bucket seats with all the adjustments. Where I scored was the transmission. It had just been rebuilt and had $2400 pumped into it before I bought it. The guy only put like 2000 klicks on it before the HG went and he never drove it after.

The reason im doing this is to address questions others will have about this

So I will start with assuming you have the donor tranny out from the other truck, with the transfer case and all the things you will need.

Which will be,

W56 tranny or one of choice
Transfer case - Make sure if your transmission is top shift, to get a top shift transfer case.
Master Cylinder
Slave cylinder
Pedal assembly- Check for cracks in the pedal assembly, this seems to be common and the frame will break.
clutch hard lines
New clutch and berings
Pressure plate
Resurfaced or new flywheel
Tranny and transfer case fluid : SAE 75W90 , API GL4 or GL5

For parts I will recommend toyodiy.com , large wealth of information there.
