88 4x4 Can I swap drivetrain into my 94 4x2?

I did a little searching but was wondering if someone could point me to a link for this if it's possible. I have a 94 ext cab 4x2 automatic 22re daily driver. I can get ahold of an 88 reg cab 4x4 22re manual trans. Can the drivetrain be put under my 94 ext cab? Would my 94 driveshaft work in the back of the manual tranny, etc... I have a lift and everything I'd need as long as it doesn't take one-off fabbing. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

So far I've gathered that swapping a 2wd body and motor into a 4wd is easy enough, but not the other way around. This won't work in this case it seems as the 4wd is a reg cab and the 2wd is an ext cab. Is this about right?

Well, the 5sp would have a transfercase which means if you wanted to get 4wd working you would need to fab brackets for the front suspension. Probibly easier to go SFA at that point.
